Dear Erick, Despite the number of challenges we face as liberty-minded activists, there are no shortage of opportunities to advance freedom for those looking to change the status quo. Because I know I can count on your participation in the fight through your membership in C4L, I wanted to make you aware of a few of these opportunities that are currently available. On the national level, those who are high school or college students have a chance to take their political activism to the next level. Campaign for Liberty National is looking for dedicated, liberty-minded high school or college students to intern for their spring semester (January 7 – May 15). The responsibilities of this paid internship include answering phones, handling correspondence, data entry, research projects, occasional blogging, aiding in the organization of petition drives to Congress, and assisting staff members when necessary. In the past, motivated C4L interns found great job opportunities in the liberty movement, including working on Capitol Hill and for other influential non-profits, following their time with the organization. C4L’s national headquarters is located in Springfield, Virginia, and office hours are from 8:30am – 5pm eastern. Those interested should submit a resume, writing sample, and any other inquiries to internship@campaignforliberty.com no later than November 9, 2012. On the state level, we are currently recruiting County Leaders for Colorado Campaign for Liberty, and we would love to have you involved! As a Colorado Campaign for Liberty County Leader, you will be part of the backbone of this growing organization. Click here to pledge to be involved with CO C4L on the county level right now. Finally, I would be honored if you would join my good friend Jack Hunter and me at a panel discussion on “The War on Terrorism, Civil Liberties, and the Constitution” taking place Friday, October 19, at the University of Colorado – Boulder (in Humanities 1B50) from 7:00-9:00 p.m. MST. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. At this free event, Jack will be on a panel with columnist Glenn Greenwald (liberal), FFF president Jacob Hornberger (libertarian), and constitutional lawyer Bruce Fein (conservative) to discuss some of the great threats to our constitutional republic and individual rights. In addition to what can be learned about the issues facing us today, I hope to see you there so we can talk more about how you can become a County Leader for CO C4L! As you can see, there’s something for everyone! I am excited about what Colorado Campaign for Liberty is accomplishing, and I hope you will take advantage of one or more of these opportunities that will help you make a lasting impact.
