One more chance

Dear Erick,

The FEC reporting deadline is just hours away, and the liberty movement has one more chance to make the strongest possible showing when our fundraising totals are made public.

Thanks to your enthusiastic and generous support, my campaign has banked over $4 million in donations from grassroots supporters and every day Americans are fed up with the Big Government status quo.

I know our goal was ambitious, but I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of my supporters.  And now you and I have one last chance to display the strength of our R3VOLUTION.

If you have already contributed to this effort, I thank you and ask that if you can afford to do so, please dig down one last time and chip in whatever you can to help.

If you have not yet contributed, this is your last chance to show the establishment that our R3VOLUTION is where the energy and enthusiasm in this primary fight is located.

Ron Paul 2012

You see, whether I'm standing on a debate stage with other candidates, or meeting voters on the campaign trail, I hear an awful lot of "I agree with Ron Paul."

Now it is a matter of raising the money necessary to spread my message of liberty

Because once voters hear that I am the candidate who predicted the economic catastrophe, or that I am the only candidate in this race who has defended the Constitution their entire life, they will come to our side.

So please, click here to make a generous contribution of $20.12, $35, $50, $100, $250, or maybe even the legal maximum of $2,500 ($5,000 per couple), so my campaign can report the strongest fundraising total possible.

I thank you for all that you do in the name of liberty.

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

P.S.  The FEC reporting deadline is just hours away, and the liberty movement has one more chance to make the strongest possible showing when our fundraising totals are made public.

It's vital that the establishment know my campaign has the enthusiasm and fundraising of a top-tier campaign.

So please, click here to make a generous contribution of $20.12, $35, $50, $100, $250, or maybe even the legal maximum of $2,500 ($5,000 per couple), so my campaign can report the strongest fundraising total possible.

Deadline tonight

Dear Erick,

The FEC reporting deadline is tonight!

Enthusiasm and support for my campaign is surging, as we have raised over $4 million.

But in order for the establishment to stand up and take notice, this reporting period must show the maximum possible money raised.

Now, I don't know if we can raise the full $5 million by tonight's dead line -- I set a high goal on purpose. But I know how committed and generous supporters like you are.

So let's just do what we can for the rest of today. You may click here to make a contribution before the midnight deadline.

Ron Paul 2012

You see, the establishment is biting their finger nails and hoping we will fall short so they can dismiss our R3VOLUTION.

They recognize Republican primary voters are crying out for a consistent conservative who shares their values and will fight for their cause.

So please, click here to make a contribution of $20.12, $35, $50, $100, $250, or maybe even the legal maximum of $2,500 ($5,000 per couple) so my campaign can reach our goal of raising $5 million by tonight's FEC reporting deadline.

I have a 30 year record of uncompromising stands for limited government, respect for the Constitution, and sound money. When voters find out what I have done and stand for, I am finding they vote for me.

Over and over I hear now, "You were right in 2008, we just didn't know it."

So now it is a question of just having the money to get our liberty message fully out.

My principles will never depend on the politics of the moment.

And the more people who are exposed to our message of liberty, the more the ranks of our R3VOLUTION swell.

So click here to make a contribution of $20.12, $35, $50, $100, $250, or maybe even $2,500 ($5,000 for couples) to help my campaign reach our goal of raising $5 million by tonight's FEC reporting deadline.

I thank you for all that you do in the name of liberty.

Great article; Obama on Libya:

Obama on Libya: “I Don’t Even Have to Get to the Constitutional Question”

Paul Joseph Watson
Infowars.com
June 30, 2011
During his speech yesterday, Barack Obama delivered probably the most arrogant statement thus far betraying his open hostility to the rule of law as it applies to his administration’s illegal war on Libya, churlishly dismissing criticism from Congress and remarking, “I don’t even have to get to the Constitutional question.”
Speaking to CNN, Congressman Ron Paul reacted to Obama’s disregard for the Constitution by labeling his claim, “A horrible statement.”
“You take an oath of office to obey the Constitution… the Constitution is very clear, you don’t go to war without a declaration,” said Paul.
But should Obama’s rampant hypocrisy really surprise us? This is the Nobel Peace Laureate who has more U.S. troops deployed than at any time under George W. Bush. This is a man who came to power promising to end war yet has involved the United States in more conflicts than Bush ever presided over.
Obama has used word games and mental gymnastics to claim he hasn’t violated the War Powers Resolution. Even as universities, apartment blocks and marketplaces are bombed, killing innocent civilians, communications are blocked, and even as top admirals now admit that the scope of the mission is all about regime change, the Obama administration still clings to the ludicrous fallacy that the bombardment of Libya is not a war.
Indeed, the White House itself characterized the goal in Libya as “installing a democratic system,” a euphemism for regime change, acknowleding that the agenda goes far beyond “protecting civilians,” as Obama claimed during his March 19 speech.
White House Counsel Bob Bauer claims that because the US and NATO has reserved its campaign to air strikes, relying on Al-Qaeda terrorists to do the dirty work on the ground (aided by US, British and French Special Forces), this means that the US is “not engaged in sustained fighting.” In other words, because the conflict is pretty much of a turkey shoot so far, with Gaddafi unable to zap fighter jets out of the sky, that turns an act of aggressive warfare into a loving exercise of peaceful slaughter.

Fw: Video message for you

Dear Erick,

Just two days remain before the FEC reporting deadline.

If you have already made a contribution, I thank you and ask that you forward this message on to some friends and encourage them to help our R3VOLUTION.

If you have not yet contributed, please do so today.

My new campaign video explains just how critical this current fundraising effort is, and updates the excitement the campaign is generating.

Our campaign flew past the $3 million raised goal I initially set for the June 30th FEC reporting deadline; right now we are closing in on $4 million.

This outpouring of support has led to our campaign setting a new benchmark of $5 million raised by tomorrow’s deadline.

While the establishment will go to any lengths to dismiss our R3VOLUTION, they will not be able to ignore the reality that my campaign has enthusiasm and fundraises like a top-tier effort.

So please, watch the video update and make a generous contribution of $20.12, $35, $50, $100, $250, or maybe even the legal maximum of $2,5000 ($5,000 per couple), right away.

Dear Erick,

The campaign is really taking off.  We blew past our initial goal of raising $3 million and are now pushing hard to make our new goal of $5 million before the June 30th FEC filing deadline!

This effort is crucial to proving to the establishment "gatekeepers" that our R3VOLUTION is a force to be reckoned with.

I hope you'll take a few moments to watch this special video I recorded on the status of the campaign and what it will take to win the Republican nomination.

You see, unlike the establishment candidates, I don't have millstones like RomneyCare, support for Cap and Tax, and TARP hanging from my neck.

I am the only candidate in this race who has a consistent conservative record of supporting low taxes, sound money, and the Constitution.

And as 2010 showed, conservatives can upset the establishment applecart.

So please, click here to watch my special campaign video update

After you watch the video, please make a generous contribution of $20, $35, $50, $100, $250 – or whatever you can afford up to the legal maximum of $2,500 ($5,000 per couple) – so my campaign can take the fight to the establishment in early voting states like Iowa and New Hampshire.

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

P.S.  Earlier this week, I announced a challenge for my campaign to reach $5 million before the June 30th FEC filing deadline.

Erick, help me prove our strength

Ron Paul 2012

Dear Erick,

Earlier this week, I announced that my campaign had blown past its initial fundraising goal and is racing to reach $5 million before the June 30th FEC filing deadline.

And let me tell you, the support has been overwhelming!

Fired up grassroots supporters have already launched the campaign past $3.3 million!

My campaign has been gaining strength in the polls and on the ground with Tea Party activists, liberty-minded Americans and grassroots conservatives.

Now it’s time to show the establishment our R3VOLUTION will have the financial muscle to put top-flight teams on the ground in early voting states like Iowa and New Hampshire.

So please, click here to make a contribution of $20, $35, $50, $100, $250 – or whatever you can afford up to the legal maximum of $2,500 ($5,000 per couple) – right away.

You see, the last thing an establishment candidate like Mitt Romney wants is a contested Republican Primary.

He doesn’t want anyone to know that Al Gore lavished praise upon his stance that global warming is “your fault.”

And he certainly doesn’t have any good answers for why he jammed through a socialized medicine scheme in Massachusetts.

You and I need to take the fight to the establishment.

And unlike other candidates in this race, I’m not willing to stand by and gaze at the pitch as it sails across the plate.

So please, click here to make a contribution of $20, $35, $50, $100, $250 – or whatever you can afford up to the legal maximum of $2,500 ($5,000 per couple) – so my campaign can take the establishment head on in early voting states like Iowa and New Hampshire.

Fw: Are you up for a challenge?

Dear Erick,

The June 30th FEC filing deadline is fast approaching, and I have set a goal of raising an additional $3 million before the final report is due.

In order to be treated like a top-tier campaign by the "gate keepers" in the establishment and punditocracy, we have to fundraise like a top-tier campaign.

Establishment candidates like Mitt Romney are working the Wall Street crowd hard to raise large sums of money to blow the field away.

And it's up to you and me to show the political world that grassroots activists, and not well-heeled bankers, are going to pick the Republican nominee for President.

Yesterday, we jumped off to a great start and now is the time to push this campaign to the top.

So can I count on your support in this challenge to reach $5 million by the June 30th FEC filing deadline?

Dear Erick,

Ten Million Dollars.

That's how much establishment candidate Mitt Romney raised in one day last month from well-heeled party bigwigs for his 2012 White House bid.

I'm writing today to see if you are up for a challenge.

I don't need 10 million dollars to match Mitt Romney.  After all, I don't have to defend a liberal record as governor of Massachusetts.  I don't have to defend against passing a bill just as bad as ObamaCare.  Mitt Romney does.  So it's ok if he has a bit more money than we do.

He's going to need it.

But I certainly need to compete.  It's vital I have the financial backing to build a first-class operation in early caucus and primary states and show the pundits and press that I am a serious candidate.  I know these so-called "gate keepers" are part of the Washington problem, but the fact is their either dismissing of candidates or praising them makes a difference to many undecided voters.

That's why I'm setting a goal of raising an additional THREE MILLION DOLLARS before June 30th.

You see, June 30th is the last day of the reporting period for Presidential candidates' fundraising.

Will you help us reach this important goal?

After the June 30th report, every reporter in America will know exactly what the Ron Paul campaign has raised.

Support for my Presidential campaign is growing every day.  You and I have a real chance to strike a blow for Liberty this year.

I think we're doing so well for a very important reason: People look back to my message of 2008, and they see I was right!

I predicted the housing crisis.  I predicted the disastrous actions of the FED and the effects of our incompetent monetary policy.

I clearly and forcefully stated that government spending was going to bankrupt us.  And I argued against trillion dollar foreign occupations.

All of these warnings and predictions have come true.  The American people are coming around to the ideas of sound money, balanced budgets, and a return to a truly conservative foreign policy.

You may have noticed that even the media is paying attention this time, after trying so hard to keep our message hidden last cycle.

That's why I'm hopeful.  I'm hopeful that we are in time to save America, to rebuild our economy, and to hand our children an even better country than the one we inherited.

I believe the time is right to return to the principles embedded in the United States Constitution.

As I like to say, freedom is popular, and now is the time to take action.

If elected, I will work hard to:

***     Stop the spread of socialist, big government health care;

***     Stop the growth of government spending, restrictive regulations, and interference in our lives;

***     Audit the Federal Reserve, which, I believe, will serve as an important first step toward finally ending the Fed once and for all;

***     Ensure the federal government returns to its constitutional limits by eliminating departments and agencies that are not authorized by the Constitution;

***     Ensure a new, more humble foreign policy for our nation.  We cannot be the world's policeman.  We should not engage in "Nation-Building."  We cannot afford trillion dollar international boondoggles that cost us our lives, our fortunes, and our freedom;

***     Repeal Big Government schemes like the so-called  "PATRIOT" Act.

Of course, that won't be all.  But, as I hope you'll agree, that's a good start.

If you agree the time is right for our message of Liberty, I hope you'll also agree the time is right to help our campaign financially.

I can hardly tell you how important that would be - especially at this crucial time.

We need to send a message to the establishment.  While you can raise 10 million from your corporate fat cats, you cannot defeat the message of Liberty.

And if you can help this campaign really take off now with a contribution, I'd certainly appreciate it.  Please click here to make a generous contribution of $20.12, $35, $50, $100, $25 - or whatever you can afford up to the legal maximum of $2,500 ($5,000 per couple).

An early contribution is especially important for at least two reasons:

First, we must seize on my early momentum and start strong.

In 2008, frankly, we started short and in some states never really made it up.  I am determined not to repeat that mistake.

Second, many political experts say early money raised now is worth five times as much as money raised in the closing weeks.

The good news is there's something happening right now all over the country.  There has never been a better time for our message to get through, or a better opportunity to spread the ideas of Liberty.

We saw it all across the country in 2010.  Folks are waking up, and things are turning around.  And it's due in large part to your hard work in 2008 and the years that followed.

People are simply ready for the message of freedom.

So, Erick, I'm counting on your financial support to help me get my pro-freedom message out.

Of course, $2,500 per person ($5,000 per married couple) is the maximum contribution legal under federal law.

But whatever you can contribute - $500, $250, $100, $50, or $35 - will help tremendously.

Remember, on June 30th I must close the books on the current reporting period and tell the FEC (and thus every reporter in America) exactly how much money the Ron Paul campaign has raised.

I want to send a shockwave through the establishment and insiders, and this will be a big part of it.

The R3VOLUTION we started is at a crucial stage.  Your early contribution now will also allow us to ramp up our efforts in all the key primary states.  That's why political experts say that $1 now is worth as much as $5 later on.

Your support today will determine if you and I can move the R3volution forward in 2012.

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

P.S.  The other candidates have their corporate establishment Big Money donors.  They have their lobbyists and their PACs.  Mitt Romney used his insider rolodex (thick with Wall Street bankers) to raise 10 million dollars for his campaign.

Patriots like you can help me fight back.  Please make your maximum possible contribution toward our THREE MILLION DOLLAR challenge, and please do so before the June 30th deadline.  Thank you for your support.

TSA Fwd: Mess With Texas?

Campaign for Liberty

Dear Liberty Activist,

"Don't mess with Texas!" - a phrase symbolic of the independent nature of a republic that was born fighting for independence.

Unfortunately for Texans, their state leaders forgot this history and caved like the Buffalo Bills in a Super Bowl to threats from the Department of Justice.

You see, Texas State Rep. David Simpson sponsored a commonsense bill to prohibit officials from groping people's privates as a condition for them to travel or enter a public building.

But the bureaucrats working at the TSA and DOJ didn't like this restriction
.

They threatened to create what amounts to a no-fly zone over Texas after the bill sailed unanimously through the Texas State House.

After a brief fight in the Senate, the bill was pulled without a vote because the necessary two thirds of Senators were not present to vote on the bill.

Everyday Americans like those in Texas Campaign for Liberty refused to let their state fold, however, and they have turned up the heat to such a high level that the bill is close to returning from the dead.

To ensure Texas takes its stand, these activists need nationwide backup.

It's time to take action in support of not just Texas, but all states that seek to safeguard Americans' Fourth Amendment rights from the rubber-gloved goons, whose touchy-feely tactics are supposedly protected by their government agent status.

The Texas Legislature was called into a special session recently, which grants them a unique opportunity to once again push this bill through and onto Gov. Rick Perry's desk.

What's the one obstacle in the way of breathing new life into this bill?

Governor Rick Perry.

Only the Governor can add issues to be considered during a special session of the Texas State Legislature.

Even though State Representative Simpson and State Senator Patrick have reintroduced their bills (HB 41 & SB 29), the Governor is the only one who can allow the legislature to restore each Texan's dignity.

Governor Perry has repeatedly taken to the national scene, including venues like CPAC 2011, to talk about "standing up to Washington" and defending states' rights.

Now it's time for him to show his hand.

When he has the ability to prove that all that tough talk was more than just heated rhetoric, will he stop at only words?

Please take a moment today to call Governor Perry at (512) 463-1782.  Demand he back up his speeches and stand up for states' rights by bringing up HB 41 & SB 29 during the special session of the Texas state legislature.

Make sure he knows the whole nation is watching what happens in Texas.  If he allows the feds to walk all over him and Texas with some empty threats and misinterpretation of the "supremacy clause," then the TSA will have won a major victory.

Virtually all leading Texas liberty supporters - including in the House, Senate, and the Lieutenant Governor - agree that Governor Perry should stand up to the feds, and so far he refuses to do so.

Something has got to give.  If it's the states, then we're likely to be groped and scanned in airports without end.  But if it's the Feds, then we'll finally be taking a step in the right direction by refusing to surrender our dignity and human rights in the name of so-called "security."

Tell Governor Perry that it's time to remind the Feds - "Don't mess with Texas!"  There's no better issue to pick a fight over than the TSA's molestation of law-abiding citizens in our nations' airports.

In Liberty,

John Tate

I Donated to Ron Paul; Did you?

Let me know you donated!

WHO is Ron Paul?;

Congressman Ron Paul of Texas enjoys a national reputation as the premier advocate for liberty in politics today. Dr. Paul is the leading spokesman in Washington for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency. He is known among both his colleagues in Congress and his constituents for his consistent voting record in the House of Representatives: Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. In the words of former Treasury Secretary William Simon, Dr. Paul is the “one exception to the Gang of 535″ on Capitol Hill.
Ron Paul was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Gettysburg College and the Duke University School of Medicine, before proudly serving as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force during the 1960s. He and his wife Carol moved to Texas in 1968, where he began his medical practice in Brazoria County. As a specialist in obstetrics/gynecology, Dr. Paul has delivered more than 4,000 babies! He and Carol, who reside in Lake Jackson, Texas, are the proud parents of five children and have eighteen grandchildren.
While serving in Congress during the late 1970s and early 1980s, Dr. Paul’s limited-government ideals were not popular in Washington. He served on the House Banking committee, where he was a strong advocate for sound monetary policy and an outspoken critic of the Federal Reserve’s inflationary measures. He also was a key member of the Gold Commission, advocating a return to a gold standard for our currency. He was an unwavering advocate of pro-life and pro-family values. Dr. Paul consistently voted to lower or abolish federal taxes, spending, and regulation, and used his House seat to actively promote the return of government to its proper constitutional levels. In 1984, he voluntarily relinquished his House seat and returned to his medical practice.
Dr. Paul returned to Congress in 1997 to represent the 14th Congressional district of Texas. He serves on the House Financial Services Committee, the International Relations committee, and the Joint Economic Committee. On the Financial Services Committee, Rep. Paul serves as the vice-chairman of the Oversight and Investigations subcommittee. He continues to advocate a dramatic reduction in the size of the federal government and a return to constitutional principles.
Dr. Paul is the author of several books, including Challenge to Liberty; The Case for Gold; and A Republic, If You Can Keep It. He has been a distinguished counselor to the Ludwig von Mises Institute, and is widely quoted by scholars and writers in the fields of monetary policy, banking, and political economy. He has received many awards and honors during his career in Congress, from organizations such as the National Taxpayers Union, Citizens Against Government Waste, the Council for a Competitive Economy, and countless others.
Dr. Paul’s consistent voting record prompted one Congressman to comment that “Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers’ ideal of the citizen-statesman. He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised, and they never are.” Another Congresswoman added that “There are few people in public life who, through thick and thin, rain or shine, stick to their principles. Ron Paul is one of those few.”
