The choice in this election

Dear Erick, My incredible second-place finish in New Hampshire and top three showing in Iowa confirm that this is a two-man race. And now my establishment opponents are parroting leftist rhetoric in a desperate attempt to revive their floundering campaigns. While Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry mimic Democrat attacks on capitalism, I continue to offer the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney's liberal record. Our Party cannot defeat Barack Obama in the fall if we nominate a candidate who rammed through socialized medicine schemes in his state, supported the $700 billion TARP bailout, and flip-flops on issues like life, the Second Amendment, and global warming. Unlike Mitt Romney, I'll never have to apologize for my record, because I will be proud to campaign on my long history of defending the Constitution, opposing Big Government powergrabs, and never voting for an unbalanced budget. I have ordered my staff to beef up our operations in South Carolina, but we cannot implement our successful program of hard-hitting TV ads, direct mail, email, phone banking, and door-to-door voter contact that fueled my strong showings in Iowa and New Hampshire unless my campaign has the resources.
