National ID Vote TODAY?

Campaign for Liberty

Dear Erick,

I’ve just received word the fight over the statists' National ID scheme could take place as early as today.

Senator Rand Paul is proposing an amendment to STRIP this dangerous provision out of the so-called “Immigration Reform Bill.”

That’s why it's critical you call your Senators immediately and tell them to support Senator Paul’s Trust but Verify Amendment before it’s too late.

I've included their contact information for you below:

Sen. Michael Bennet (202) 224-5852
Sen. Mark Udall (202) 224-5941

With the recent revelations of how the government is spying on our phone, email, and Internet usage - combined with the ObamaCare databases containing all of our health care information – this National ID fight could give the statists the last piece of the puzzle they’ve been craving.

And you and I could find ourselves ushered into a total surveillance state.

If passed, this dangerous National ID scheme would:

*** Require a new National ID card based on Social Security cards and a national database containing biometric identification information, which could include fingerprints, retinal scans, or scans of veins on the back of hands, which could easily be used for government tracking;

*** The card would be required for all U.S. workers regardless of place of birth, making it illegal for anyone to hold a job in the United States who doesn’t obtain the ID card;

*** All employers would be required to purchase an ID scanner to verify the ID cards by making sure the information on the card matches the information in the federal database.

So every time any citizen applies for a job, the government would know.

You can bet it's only a matter of time until "ID scans" will be required to travel, attend public events, buy a gun, or make even routine purchases.

Plus, it would only take a small change in the law to link the National ID card and the accompanying “biometric” database to the health care databases being constructed to implement ObamaCare.

Campaign for Liberty has been leading the fight against this scheme - and the establishment fears us.

In fact, Senator Rand Paul has said "Campaign for Liberty is the most important liberty group in Washington."

And C4L staff has been working around the clock to mobilize pro-freedom Americans and flood the Senate with calls and e-mails in support of Senator Rand Paul’s “Trust but Verify” amendment.

But with all the effort we have been putting into fighting the National ID – not to mention other statist schemes - our resources are running dangerously low.

So if possible, in addition to calling your U.S. Senators, please make a contribution to Campaign for Liberty today of $10 or even $20.

If you can do more – perhaps $35 or even $50 – it will be greatly appreciated.

Any amount will help Campaign for Liberty pull out all the stops to defeat the National ID scheme.

This is a crucial moment.

The battle over a National ID scheme in the Senate could come to a head as early as this afternoon . . .

So please call your Senators now and urge them to vote FOR Senator Rand Paul’s Trust but Verify Amendment!

In Liberty,

John Tate
President
